FEATURES OF THE COURSE

  • Students are prepared to become active members of professional multidisciplinary teams sharing responsibility for the day-to-day care of people with a disability
  • Two Days per week practical training in the Central Remedial Clinic Clontarf or Scoil Mochua
  • Lectures/Classes three days per week in Liberties College
  • LÁMH Module – Students are trained in the use of LÁMH, a manual sign system used by children with intellectual disability & communication needs
  • Manual Handling & First Aid
  • Garda vetting for work experience
