Practicing mindfulness can benefit in many ways. Numerous studies show that mindfulness helps to reduce stress, anxiety and rumination, increase positive states of mind and improve quality of life.
COURSE CONTENT
These are some of the themes that we’ll explore together during the course:
- What is mindfulness (and what mindfulness is not)
- The benefits of practicing mindfulness
- Understanding how the mind works
- The automatic pilot
- The importance of intention and attitude in mindfulness
- How to settle the mind
- How to invite relaxation with the support of the breath
FEATURES OF THE COURSE
Tuition is provided by an experienced & qualified Mindfulness and Meditation practitioner.
The focus of the course is to provide resources and practical techniques that can improve student’s mental and emotional wellbeing.
Reflection forms part of the course as it helps to develop and improve understanding of your mindfulness practice. Students are invited to write down their reflections at the end of each class. You are therefore requested to bring writing material, i.e. pen and paper, to each class.
Students are advised to wear comfortable clothing.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
This course is suitable for everyone, beginners and those with previous mindfulness and meditation experience alike. Application to the course is by enrolment.
