Work Based Learning

Skills to Advance is an initiative which aims to equip employees with the skills they need to progress in their current role or to adapt to the changing job market. All training offered is accredited by the NFQ (National Framework Qualifications) at QQI Level4, Level 5 and Level 6 . These courses are delivered as Special Purpose Awards or Minor Awards.
All courses can be accumulated to lead to a Major award if required.
As part of this initiative Liberties College will work closely with employers/employees to help identify their needs and invest in their workforce/careers.
Liberties College will deliver the courses online/onsite, throughout the day or evening courses. Courses will be tailored to local needs and will run subject to minimum enrolment and where candidates meet the relevant eligibility criteria.

What will it cost me?

Skills to Advance courses are highly subsidised depending on your skill level (Level 4 & Level 5)
A Level 6 course is 70% funded.

Am I eligible?

Skills to Advance has opportunities for everyone to upskill or reskill particularly if you are:
Currently working in a lowered-skilled job – Part-time or Full-time- under a contract of employment
If your education is NFQ Level 5 and under
Self -Employed persons are eligible to participate
Currently working in a job that is experiencing significant change
